The purpose of Sonrise Community Church is to discover and celebrate Jesus in our lives. We also bring God’s presence into our community and neighborhoods in a loving and practical way.
 
Our current ministries include:
 
The Village at Willow Lane assisted living facility in Macungie.
We hold a monthly worship service for residents and their families on the 2nd Sunday of each month. We also provide a hospitality cart. On the last Thursday of each month, residents have the opportunity to shop independently for personal hygiene, large print word find/crossword books, all occasion cards, stamps etc.
 
Friends Plus. We visit assisted living residents who do not have family close by or who do not receive regular visitors.

We are currently in conversation with additional local senior citizen living complexes to providing worship services along with our hospitality cart ministry.
 
Additional Service Opportunities.
We are developing partnerships with the East Penn school district and local motels to assist families in need within the district through assorted service projects.
 
We currently partner with a new church congregation in south Bethlehem. We collect seasonal items for their local children and adults in need, whether it be school supplies, food items, or household goods throughout the year.
