Sonrise Community Church is new in town. We are a church with no walls. This means that we intentionally come to you. Our theology embraces the fundamental and well established Moravian tradition, which emphasizes unity, spiritual renewal, relationships, and at-home and global mission work.
Our church members go out into the community and engage neighbors in worship opportunities, relationship building, spiritual life development, and showing the love of Christ for all through direct community service.
Sonrise is built on the primary task of discerning God’s desires for the part of our church that serves our surrounding Macungie neighbors.
We are a praying congregation. We believe in the power of prayer. We encourage small groups to meet every other week in bible study, developing spirituality, building relationships with God and ourselves while also reaching out into the community with service evangelism projects.
Our worship service at the Macungie Institute on Main provides a safe place where your spiritual needs are taken seriously; a place where you can raise questions without feeling embarrassed or judged; and a place where you can restart or begin your spiritual journey so as to be able to live the abundant life that God promises us.
