Core Values
Christ Is Our Foundation
Everything we do revolves around and points towards Jesus Christ (Psalm 118:22-23, Isaiah 28:16, Matthew 21:42-44, Ephesians 2:19-22).
Community Is Our Pursuit
We strive to be a place where the people of God are in community with God and with one another (Luke 10:27, John 13:34-35, Galatians 6:2, Acts 2:46-47).
Prayer Is Our Response
Prayer is our mode of communication to God for all things: praise, thanksgiving, petition, and intercession (1 John 5:14, Philippians 4:5-7, Romans 8:26-27, Matthew 6:5-15, Luke 11:1-4).
Service Is Our Opportunity
Just as Jesus came to serve, we want to take every opportunity we can to serve God and others (Mark 10:45, Matthew 20:26-28, Galatians 5:13-14, 1 Peter 4:10).
Generosity Is A Blessing
Generosity is about giving back a portion of what God has given to us (Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, Deuteronomy 15:7-8).
Making Disciples Is Our Mission
Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. Everything we do is with this command in mind (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15).
Core Doctrines
God is
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
Jesus Christ is
Jesus Christ is the son of God who lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the only acceptable sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to show his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return to earth again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13).
The Holy Spirit is
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18).
The Bible
We believe that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work,” (2 Tim 3:16-17).
Salvation
We believe that the only way to be saved is by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and savior, confessing and repenting of your sins, asking for forgiveness, being baptized, and living the rest of your life in pursuit of a relationship with Jesus, striving everyday to live more like him (John 14:16, Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9, Romans 6:23, Acts 2:38).
Eternity
We believe that eternity is how long we were created to exist with God. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with him is heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence (John 3:16; 1 John 2:25, 1 John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15).
People
We believe that people are broken by our own choices and are separated from God by sin (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23).
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a union between one biological man and one biological woman designed by God for them to join together as one for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:21).
